Care for your pieces

I craft my pieces in what I call Golden Vintage Brass – it’s from the 60’s and has an energy and shine that is very different from “modern brass”. The ability of my Vintage Golden Brass to hold intentions is just incredible and I feel blessed to co-create with life & this material.
I came across a bunch of this material back in 2021 and there is a limit to the resource I have to work with, which makes it even more precious to me and also add a layer of uniqueness to your piece(s).
Intuitively calculated I can serve with this material for a few more years.

To care for your pieces and keep the shine I do recommend to wash them with soap & water when taking them off, whether that is on a regular day to day basis or whatever other timeframe is applicable to you.
Some soaps are more effective than others, so do try different one to find your favourite and if you are like me and adore those little intentional & sensual moments, a soap that has a scent you like and just bring some joy into your life, is a good investment in my book.
It is important to thoroughly rinse your piece with water and pat it completely dry.

Rings are by the nature of where we wear them most important to wash after use, as they come in contact with a lot of stuff each day and sit tight on our fingers. Sweat and just our individual chemistry will be a huge factor in how quick brass will get dull and if our skin will get a lil grey/green’ish tint. – if they do stain your skin a bit, it’s nothing to worry about and is easily washed off.

The one thing to keep far away from your pieces is hand sanitiser, it will dull your pieces beyond any cure other than me going manually all in on removing it. So keep that in mind.

I like to have an intuitive ritual for my own pieces, where the act of washing them after wearing them is a moment to be present with my heart and body, rinse off energies from the day, come home to the eternal now and just add some intentional beauty into my day.
Also, newly washed and shiny jewelry and ritual pieces give me so much energy and joy. It’s just SO BEAUTIFUL.

On Sunday’s I give all my pieces worn during the week a good wash and a lemon rinse, I really love the energy of Sun’ days to reenergise my pieces and clear them for the upcoming week. You can also add a smoke ritual and putting them in the sun if it’s out, adding some potency to your talisman moment.

A minute or two in pure organic lemon juice is enough, you will see and feel when they want to come up.
If they are a bit dull I go in with a toothbrush and paste to get the shine back, it is a great tool if needed.
Same thing with toothpaste as with soap, some are more effective than others, so do try your way until you find yourself a favourite that works well.

If dullness has entered the room, and nothing of the above works.. enter the eraser. I by chance happened to have one laying near one of my rings, and felt the strange urge to rub it on my ring – and to my happy surprise it looked shinier. I then tried it on one of my talisman’s that I held in my hand during sleep for a few nights, and the difference the eraser made was epic.
I have tried a few different kind of erasers, and per usual not all of them are epic. So if you don’t see a magic transformation, try another one. Afterwards, wash with soap, lemon and rinse. And your piece will reborn!

No matter the care process, always rinse with water and pat it completely dry before putting it away or on display in your home.
I love to see them even when I’m not in the mood of wearing them, reminding me of the intention in the pieces and also holding the frequency in my home.
